Specialist Classic Car Servicing
Classic and historic cars require a different approach to modern vehicles. Our servicing is based not simply on a standard checklist, but on understanding the individual car, its history, condition and how it is used.

Competition Classics provides specialist classic car servicing, maintenance and mechanical
repairs from our workshop in Uckfield, East Sussex. We work with owners of British andÂ
European classic cars, offering everything from routine servicing to more extensiveÂ
mechanical and engineering work.

Maintenance, Repairs & Diagnostics
Whether investigating a new fault or maintaining a car that we know well, our team combines traditional mechanical knowledge with a methodical approach to fault finding.

We can diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling and drivetrain problems across a wide range of classic and historic cars.

Where components require rebuilding or specialist work, we can manage the complete process through our workshop and trusted specialist network.

Classic Car Servicing & Returning Cars to the Road.
Cars that have been stored or used infrequently often require more than a conventional service before returning to regular use.

Competition Classics can carry out a comprehensive inspection and recommissioning programme, assessing the mechanical, electrical and safety-critical systems before carefully returning the vehicle to the road.

Depending on the car, this may include fluids, brakes, tyres, fuel system, cooling system, electrical equipment, suspension, drivetrain and road testing.

The objective is simple: to make sure the car is safe, reliable and enjoyable to use again.
Preparation for Tours, Events & Track Days.
For owners planning a tour, rally, track day or other significant journey, we can prepare and inspect the car before the event.

Our team can carry out a detailed mechanical inspection, service and road test, addressing any issues before departure and helping reduce the likelihood of problems during the event.

For competition cars requiring full race preparation and trackside support, our dedicated Historic Racing team provides a complete motorsport service.

Ongoing Care for Your Classic Car.
Rather than owners only bringing a car to us when something goes wrong, Competition Classics can provide ongoing maintenance and preventative care.

By getting to know the car, its history and how it is used, we can help owners plan servicing and maintenance, monitor developing issues and prepare the vehicle for tours, events or periods of regular use.

For cars stored with Competition Classics, servicing and maintenance can also be coordinated with our specialist vehicle storage service, allowing the car to be maintained and prepared while it is in our care.
