1997 Mini Cooper S Sports Pack RestorationÂ
This 1997 Mini Cooper S Sports Pack is undergoing a comprehensive restoration by Competition Classics, bringing one of the most desirable late-production classic Minis back to exceptional condition.
The car is being completely stripped and rebuilt, allowing our team to address the bodywork, mechanical components, interior and detailing throughout. Particular attention was paid to retaining the character and distinctive specification of the Cooper S Sports Pack.
The completed car will demonstrate the level of workmanship and attention to detail we bring to complete classic Mini restorations at our East Sussex workshop.
Full Nut-and-Bolt Restoration
This Cooper S Sports Pack was completely dismantled and stripped back to a bare shell, allowing the bodyshell to be thoroughly inspected and any necessary repairs completed before refinishing. The shell was carefully prepared and repainted in its original Tahiti Blue, before the painstaking process of rebuilding the car began. With the Mini stripped to this level, every component could be assessed individually and restored, rebuilt or replaced as required. This approach allows us to achieve the same standard in the areas normally hidden from view as those immediately visible — an essential part of a true nut-and-bolt restoration.
