1974 Range Rover 2 Door Suffix C - Restoration Project for sale

£29,995

A rare opportunity to acquire an early two-door Range Rover Classic with much of the major restoration work already completed.

This 1974 Suffix C Range Rover has undergone extensive chassis, axle and bodywork restoration, providing an excellent foundation for either a factory-original restoration or a bespoke restomod.

With both original components and later Range Rover running gear included, the final specification can be tailored to the new owner's preferences.

Chassis and Bodywork Restoration

The vehicle has been completely dismantled, with the chassis fully restored and finished in black 2K paint.

Both axles have been rebuilt, with new bushes, seals, bearings, brakes, shock absorbers and springs. Components have been powder coated, while the body panels have been blasted, repaired and primed.

Extensive bodywork has included replacement inner wings, door skins and repair panels

Original or V8 Restomod?

Originally intended as a restomod, the project includes a later 4.6-litre Rover V8 engine and automatic transmission, with modifications made to accommodate the proposed specification.

These include provision for electric windows, an electric sunroof, later-style tailgate and revised interior fittings.

Alternatively, the vehicle could be returned towards its original 1974 specification using the original 3.5-litre V8 engine, gearbox and other retained components.

A Bespoke Opportunity

The project is offered with an extensive collection of original and later Range Rover components, including glass, trim, wheels and mechanical parts.

Documentation tracing ownership back to when the vehicle was new is also available.

Competition Classics can discuss completing the restoration to the purchaser's preferred specification, whether as a period-correct classic or an individually commissioned road-going restomod.
